It has been a few years since we have had a Salsa Party at Californo’s but I want to revisit some of the old spots before I move! If you were around in 2007, you remember how nice Californo’s is for dancing since the entire place is hardwood floors! Life is short, don’t miss the party! I hope to see you all Saturday!

Leaving But Not Gone
You may have heard the rumor that I am moving to Miami. The rumor is true, I hope to move sometime in April. I am leaving, but I am not gone! I will continue to promote Salsa in Kansas City. I most likely won’t be starting anything new in Kansas City but I will continue to host Salsa at Retro Nightclub on Thursdays, The Marquee Lounge on Fridays, and Elements on the weekend during Spring Summer and Fall. I will continue these venues as long as you continue to support them.
Since I will spend most of my time in Miami, I will be hiring new DJ’s and Dance Instructors to take my place but you will see me at least once a month since my family is still here. I will not be having a going away party because I will be in KC so often it will appear as if I didn’t leave to most of you.
Thank you for supporting Salsa in Kansas City for the last 12 years! I hope to see people who have not been out in awhile in the next couple of months while I am still teaching and DJing.

As of today (6-3-11) we no longer host Salsa @ Madrigall. We have moved Salsa to a a much better venue, Retro Nightclub located at 1518 McGee Kansas City Missouri. We will have Salsa at Retro on Wednesday and Thursday every week. If you can, come check it out Wednesday, if not, the big party will continue every Thursday. Weekend (Friday and Saturday) Salsa Nights will be at Elements in Power and Light.

Tuesday Night Tango in Kansas City!
Kansas City has a new spot to learn and dance Argentine Tango! The Marquee Lounge will be hosting Argentine Tango lessons and dance parties every Tuesday Night starting March 15th, 2011. The night will start off with beginner Argentine Tango Lessons at 7pm, followed by a Milonga (tango party) from 8 till 11pm and it’s all FREE!
